Hi
I'm joining in the Papertake Weekly Challenge this week, 'A Stitch In Time. You have to show stitching on your creation, whether it be real or faux. The Design Team has done some incredible designs for inspiration, and you can submit almost anything you choose, as long as it has stitching on it.

I chose to do a card using a colour combination I have never really used before. Blue and red. I would never really put these colours together, but it just goes to show the power of inspration from other people. I have noticed this colour scheme on quite a few different blogs, and it has grown on me. So I purposly went out and bought paper with a blue and red colour scheme. I'm really pleased with it, and will definately use it again. This particular paper set is by Daisy Bucket, and I love it.
I folded the card back on itself in a sort of semi-concertina, (I'm sure there must be a correct term for this), so the inside of the card shows, and can be decorated too.

My stitches are faux this time. I know....I really should get my sewing machine out more, but just couldn't be bothered on this occasion, yes lazy I know, but you'll have to live with it.
So I have done faux cross stitch, and faux running stitch and I think it looks fine. The flowers are from Prima, and the gems and photo corners are from my stash. I coloured the image with my Derwent Watercolour Pencils. I haven't used them in ages, the colours were just right for this card. I'll have to use them more, but what I'd really like is some fantastic Copic Markers, for a more intense colour. Ahhh dream on.....

Hi Debbie, thank you for stopping by my blog and your lovely comments. I have had a good look through your blog and it is so interesting, and some gorgeous cards. xx
The colour combo is gorgeous, looks lush. Those papers are really nice.
I dreamt of owning some copics but much too expensive but now I have promarkers, a lot cheaper and I think they do just as good a job as the copics.
Fab card, Debbie, and I do like that colour combination! :o)
Was great to see you this afternoon, and to meet Sophie! :o)
Thank you for the butterflies, which will be making an appearance on one of my cards very soon!
Chris xx
Hi Debbie
I love your card those colours do go well. I would like some copic markers too as I feel my cards look a bit wishy washy sometimes. I think I might try those pro markers as they u can get a set over at silly monkeys for about £14. If I get some I will let you know how I get on!
Hope you are enjoying your week off.
Hugs Lynsey :)
