If doodling's your thing, then you might want to take a look at the challenge over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar this week. They are asking for doodling of any type on your cards. Even if you don't doodle yourself, it's ok to use any of the scroll and swirl stamps you might have, so there's no excuse not to join in.
I chose a Magnolia stamp again for this one. But not cute little Tilda or even Edwin. I chose the Love Cake from the new collection. I think this stamp is just so versatile, you can use it for almost any occasion. It would make perfect wedding and birthday cakes. You could even use it for Christmas or Halloween by choosing appropriate colours. So without any more waffling, here's my card:
The image is coloured with Copic Markers with a touch of crystal glitter along one side, although you can't really see it too well in this photo. The cake was just layered on to Bazzill in tones of sunshine yellow. The base card was put through the Divine Swirl Cuttlebug embossing folder, which adds texture and interest. I used my Fiskars lace border punch again, and the good old Prima flowers. The tiny butterflies were cut from a punch I found at Tesco of all places yesterday for £1.70, a bargain, even if I say so myself. They are just the right size for this size of cake. I can see I'll get lots of use from this stamp, and will be able to create lots of different looks. My doodling of course to fit in with the challenge, is around the edge of the main image, subtle I know, but doodling all the same. Hope you like it.
