Whiff Of Joy Guest Designer Call

Hi everyone.

Have you heard about the fabulous opportunity over at Whiff Of Joy. Katharina is looking for a guest designer for two whole months, WOWEE.

Now you have to follow Katharina's sketch shown here, make a card, and post a link on her blog so she can visit you. That's it, easy peasy.

There's already alot of entries, but not to be put off, I thought I'd give it a go too. I mean I even if I don't win, I still get to make a fabulous card using one of the adorable Whiff Of Joy stamps, and follow a great sketch too.

So here's my card:
I've used doodlebug papers again. I seem to be using these alot just lately. I think I bought a load some time ago because I loved them, and have just re-discovered them. I really need to use up 'old' stuff before I buy any more.

I went with a lilac and yellow theme, as I think it evoke's spring. Think of the crocus' and you'll know what I mean, mine are in bloom as we speak. I've used Kneeling Willow which is from the Spring Collection so I thought it was appropriate to use this colour scheme. I adore these stamps.....well I adore all the Whiff Of Joy stamps. They are so easy to colour.

I used Copic markers here in soft tones to match my colour scheme. I punched the heart border with my new Martha Stewart Border punch, and made the flowers with my new EK Success Retro Flower punches.

I used vellum to punch out the flowers, drew dot's around the petal edges for definition with my Opaque White Inkessentials pen from Ranger. Layered them up, and added pearly paint for the centres. The large flower was layered with a Prima flower, a filigree finding from Eggstravaganda, and a sugar coated brad from Doodlebug again. My sentiment was computer generated onto thin card, coloured with Copics to match, and overlayed with Glossy Accents.

Ooops... I took the photo above before I quite finished, and the sentiment is missing, but you can see it on the main photo. No patience, lol...

I decorated the inside of the card to match, which I love doing now. Everytime I think I won't , I always end up doing so.

These are the Copic's I used to colour the image.

And these little beauties are my brand new punches, as mentioned above. I managed to get hold of these last week from The Hobby House. I've took them off my 'wish list' now.

Thanks for looking, and happy Crafting.

Hi Debbie,
What a lovely pretty card! I saw such a mass of yellow and purple crocuses today on my way to The Craft Barn and as you rightly said these 2 colours are so 'spring' like!

I absolutely loved your vellum flowers and are hoping that you won't mind if I give these a go on some of my own cards.

Best wishes
Kay
